our wedding

---
We started out with pretty engagement photos

We had a lovely rehearsal and bbq dinner.

Had a nice (aka HOT 96 degrees + 1,000 degrees humidity) garden wedding ceremony surrounded by all our friends and family in an amphiteather.

We exchanged rings and vows and we're pronounced Mr. & Mrs.  Our beautiful ceremony was officiated by T's Uncle.  It was great to have someone so personal do that for us.

We had cake, played cornhole (YES cornhole with OSU themed boards) and watched it downpour.  Hmm... that's good luck right?  Luckily only the bottom of my dress got drenched.  We escaped the downpour by having part of our cocktail hour indoors.

Ate a glorious 3 course meal from the fine people at Durham Catering.  We DIYd the menu cards and table numbers.  With T's photoshopping skills and my budget savy shopping it was easy!

More DIY personal touches were the 'candy buffet' with only green or yellow colored candy.  The jars were $1/each from thrift stores and then generosly gifted to a future bride.

We had photos taken of our wedding bands.  Check out T's fingerprint band here or here.  Also we had cute 'wedding children' aka flower girl and ring bearer sister/brother duo.

We cut (hmmm... shmushed in each others faces) the cake

And of course took stunning photos - by long time friend Sam Cooper.

Had a picture perfect sparkler exit leaving everyone (including us) wanting more wedding fun.

And finally had a wonderful honeymoon in sunny Puerto Rico!

(and you thought I couldn't get that many adjectives into one page. ha!)

  4. Your wedding was beautiful! We also had an outdoor wedding in 95+ degree heat and it also poured on our reception. We're married anyway, right? And it made for some cute umbrella pictures.

    I'm loving your blog!
